.: Retroville :.

Hey there! =D I hope you are having a good week! Since some of my favourite brands are bringing back polka dots, I decided to follow suit. Subconsciously, I always inject some sort of femininity in my daily outfits, even when I'm in torn boyfriend jeans, I find myself reaching for a sparkly top and some pointy heels! =)

For today's OOTD, I decided on my puffy sleeves mustard yellow top that my Mom got for me on one of our many shopping sprees together, and a pair of heels that my Dad paid for 2 years back. =P I would like to share a little family anecdote with you below!

If you didn't know, Tristan and I chose Malaysia's most awarded wedding gallery for our pre-wedding photoshoot. Though we really loved the gowns/ outfits and pictures that the gallery produced, it was not easy heading in and out of Malaysia every couple of weeks to settle all the minute details.

Fortunately for us, our parents and buddies were very supportive (as always) and commuted with us over several months before we finally wrapped up the shoot in Kuala Lumpur. Thank God!

In those few months, our family drove in to Johor Bahru (JB) very often and had many a good meal and massage there. Now, for a little secret... all 3 of my siblings and I usually only have our cell phones with us when going out with our parents (who cares about the bill when Daddy's around, right? HAHAHAHAHA!)

With the photoshoot being our primary concern, I was not in the mood for much shopping (surprise surprise!). =X  However, during one of our family lunch trips, this pair of heels from Summit caught my eye from the sales rack for only around SGD20+!

I fell in love. <3 It's double bows and pointy heels drove me crazy! Where's my wallet when I need it??? =O

Heeding my baby sister's advice, I turned towards our most reliable ATM aka our darlingest (Yes, there is such a word in my dictionary) Daddy for 'financial aid'. =P  At the start, both him and Mommy maintained that I have too many pairs of shoes and they refused to encourage me further. *horrors*  I DON'T have too many pairs of shoes. There is a PERFECT pair of shoes for EVERY outfit. Agreed?

I stubbornly refused to give up and urged them towards the Summit boutique. Guess what?? When we reached there, my mother, the one who said I have too many pairs of shoes started pointing at several other pairs of shoes (not on sale) that she wanted ME to try on and buy! *smacks forehead* WHAT happened to "You have too many pairs of shoes!"???

I LOVE MY PARENTS! =D

And NO, I only got that 1 pair of shoes that day. I might be obsessed but I'm NOT greedy, excuse me. =P

Top - No brand (old)(last seen here)
Shorts - ZARA (current)(similar for less here)
Bag - Coach Court Bag in Mahogany (found here)
Shoes - Summit (old)(similar here)

**Alterations**
Zara shorts - waist taken in and length shorted by 1 fold.
Coach Court bag - Long strap removed. Strap of Coach Basic bag (last seen here) in the same colour used.
 >> I removed the thicker strap of the Court bag and swapped it for the thinner strap of the Basic bag because I wanted a softer and more girly look for the Court bag today. I cannot wait to use the original strap in an outfit post soon! =D

Thank you for reading my long winded post! Keep safe and stay happy! XOXO!!! <3
